How I Read a Chart
My approach to interpretation combines various philosophies and practices, viewing life as a balance of fate and free will, and encourages focused intentions for deeper insights. I see the chart as a mandala of archetypes. That is universal symbolic patterns that can be recognized in our daily lives. Patterns that we can recognize as living within our experiences. The chart speaks to us rather than ruling our lives. It paints a picture that describes our life circumstance, karma and path. I find dialogue and conversation between the astrologer and the native yield the most impactful readings. The focus of my formal studies has been traditional astrology with a mixture of modern influence. I use the whole sign house system in most cases.

Your Starting Point
Natal Reading
The moment of our birth is a snapshot of what this life holds for us. Whether you believe in free will, determinism, or a combination of the two, the story within the natal chart can be enlightening, validating, and inspiring. The awareness that comes with connecting with your natal chart is beneficial on so many levels. With different levels of offerings, I strive to offer options so there may be something for everyone. We can dip just below the surface or dive deep into the chart together.

We are all surrounded by many relationships of various kinds. When we lay two charts together we see connections between the two. We see the dynamics between two people and how one person may affect another. This illustrates not only how the two interact but also brings clarity to where there may be struggle. This reading can focus on you and a romantic partner, family member, business partner, or anyone else important in your life.
Your Path Ahead
Solar Return
Just as we each have a natal chart that depicts the life, we also have a chart that depicts your life one year at a time. Each year when the sun returns back to the point it was at your birth is your annual solar return. Your birthday in astrological terms! The chart that comes along with this moment can give us great insight as to what is happening in your life and the path just in front of you. I suggest doing these readings relatively close to your birthday to see what areas of life will be highlighted in the approaching year.
Your Immediate Happenings
Transits
The term planetary transit (or simple transit) speaks to the location of each planet at any given time. While the natal chart looks at the life as a whole - transit readings can look specifically at the areas of life that are activated by planetary transits. By exploring what houses the planets are moving through as well as natal planets being aspected, we can see what areas of life have a focus as well as look at when activity may be likely to occur within a specific area of interest. Transit readings give great insight to what may be coming as well as validate current and past experiences.
Child Charts
As a mom, I find great depth in understanding my children's natal charts. Their planet placements show me how to support them individually, understand their strengths as well as their challenges. There is some clarity as to the archetypes and personas that children so innocently explore. Understanding needs and desires, from an astrological perspective, can help you guide your child to full integration of all parts of themselves. In addition, one of my favorite paths to dig into is the connections between you and your child. It is my belief that the two of you chose to share this life together in such an intimate way. What a blessing that is! I would be honored to explore your child's life path with you.

My approach to interpretation is the result of combining many different philosophies, practices, and techniques. There are important elements highlighted by different traditions. I find that this approach releases limits that may be placed on the reading. I view the chart (and life) as a combination of fate and free will and find the space between both very informative and liberating. I strive to maintain my own principles while understanding yours.
I highly suggest having at least one area of focus for any reading. When you come with your own clear intentions or questions the value you receive will grow exponentially. Curiosity is welcome.
